I swear there isn't a completely new robot in there (but who would be surprised?)
At this year's NE DCMP event, the Elm City Robo Squad was able to walk away with 123 District Points, securing our spot at the World Championships in Saint Louis, MO, and ranking 6th in New England.
After extremely rough qualification matches ranked us 52 (out of 64), we were chosen by the fifth ranked alliance captains, FRC Team 125 NUTRONs, along with FRC team 4564 Orange Chaos. Through the ups and downs of the competition, our alliance was able to finish the event as semifinalists! Congratulations to the winning alliance - FRC Teams 2168, 195, and 1073.
The team still managed to bring home a blue banner by winning the Chairman's Award at the event! Congratulations to FRC teams 125, 1071, and 3467 for their Chairman's wins!
And now...some wise words from brick2.0 as the team gets ready for World Champs
This weekend, Elm City Robo Squad FRC Team 558 competed at the Week 5 NE Hartford District Event. After qualifications, we were ranked 10th, and were picked by the #1 alliance captain, FRC Team 195 "The CyberKnights", as the first alliance pick. FRC Team 173, "Rage Robotics" was chosen to complete the alliance.
After the Waterbury District Event, the team decided to do a full redesign of our 2017 STEAMWorks robot, and we proudly introduced our (new) 2017 robot: Brick 2.0 at the Hartford Event #FSUPart2
FRC Team 558 is also proud to have won the Chairman's Award at this event!
Also...we were one fuel shot away from beating the world's high score!
And... a bet is a bet. #inspire
