It's the end of week 5. With two snow days putting us behind schedule, the team got to work early and finished later than usual today. We worked on finalizing our gear intakes, our shooter, our ball intake/elevator mechanism, programming, and machining other parts to go on the competition robot.
Today, students were able to demonstrate our offseason robot, Slick 2.0, at Career High School's Open House!
With the end of build season approaching, our robot is slowly starting to look completed. Today, we were able to custom cut shooter components at Yale University!
Also, thank you to all of our students and mentors who attended our Shake-The-Can fundraiser on Super Bowl Sunday! We were able to make over $1,300!
This week, we worked on wiring the practice robot for this years game! We also started machining different components to go onto this years robot, including our hanging mechanism.
Students also got to test-drive Slick 2.0
Yesterday, a group of students and mentors got together to attend New Haven Public Schools Magnet Fair! There, they got to drive around the robot and encourage potential freshmen to attend Career (and join the team!)
