Today we made a few thank you cards to send to our sponsors. Each student personalized a card and wrote a little thank you note inside of them. We are so grateful to have sponsors; they are the only reason we are able to compete. Today mentor Brendan from Comcast, one of our sponsors, provided the team with dinner! We enjoy welcoming our sponsors into our workshop to show them our accomplishments.

Make sure to stay updated on our team by following us on Instagram @elmcityrobosquad Today we finished competing in our first 2018 competition in Waterbury. These past two days were filled with excitement, determination, and teamwork. This year's game, Power Up, involved a lot of strategy so we prioritized feeding cubes into the exchange and shooting cubes onto both of the switches. We were semifinalists alongside FRC teams 4097 and 3461. To add the cherry on the top of our successes this weekend, we won the district chairman's award, the most prestigious award in FIRST! We'd like to congratulate all of the teams that won awards at competition and wish everyone good luck on the rest of the season! See us next time at the NE District Hartford Event!
Introducing our 2018 robot Snapback!! This robot is by far one of the smallest that we will ever encounter in competition. Snapback was named after our cube intake because it "snaps back" as it intakes cubes and shoots them out. All of our hard work payed off but it could not have been done without the help of all of our sponsors and supporters. Thank you so much!!!
