After the blood, sweat, and tears (literally) of build season, Elm City Robo Squad participated in Waterbury District Event at Wilby High School. Throughout the adversity and challenges presented by skilled opposing alliances, Elm City Robo Squad managed to rank first at the end of Qualifications and take home the victory after eliminations. We'd like to thank our alliance partners in eliminations, Team 177 Bobcat Robotics and Team 5686 Wirecats for an outstanding performance, as well as all other alliance partners throughout qualifications. In addition to placing first at the end of the day, Elm City Robo Squad also took home the prestigious Quality Award for our robust build and orderly wiring. Students were also awarded "Purple Hearts" for their efforts (and injuries!) during build season. #BleedPurple558 Again, we'd like to thank all of the mentors, students, and teams that participated in Waterbury Districts. And of course, thanks to all of our sponsors for making this season possible! And a big thank you to Team 3525 Nuts & Bolts of Fury for hosting the event! We had an amazing time seeing everybody's innovative designs for Stronghold. Team, get ready for Hartford!
